  • PME make power & generator transformers are designed, manufactured & tested as per IS 2026 / IEC 60076 according to customer's requirement up to 150 MVA, 330 kV class for any voltage ratio.
  • Prime grade of core materials - CRGO steel sheet / M4 HiB grade resulting in low value of losses, magnetizing current & long life of transformer.
  • Electrical grade of copper is used for transformer winding resulting in lesser load losses, less heating of oil, insulation deterioration is less & longer life of transformers.
  • EHV power transformers are equipped with interleaved / intershield high voltage winding, excellent to withstand impulse voltage.
  • CTC / epoxy coated CTC conductor is used in EHV large rating transformer as per design / specification requirement to limit eddy current losses, gradient to give better mechanical strength against short circuit forces.
  • Insulation is press paper on conductor & pre-compressed board in winding assembly.
  • Special grade of mild steel is used for transformer tank fabrication & special easter oil is used for cold (-40°C) and higher flash point for non fire propagating areas.
  • Power transformers are of various voltage ratios viz. 33/11, 66/33, 66/11, 132/33, 132/11, 132/33/11, 220/33/11, 330/33/11 etc with ratings upto 150 MVA.
  • Auto transformers are of various voltage ratios viz. 132/33 220/132/11 with ratings upto 160 MVA.
  • Generator transformers are of various voltage ratios viz. 11/132, 11/220/6.6, 11/330 with ratings upto 150 MVA
  • All transformers are designed with innovative solutions towards latest technology for higher efficiency, lower space requirements and lower noise.
  • The transformer can be provided with additional features of online monitoring devices, direct measurement of winding temperature by fibre optics sensors in windings.
  • Transformer tanks including radiators are given shot blasting treatment followed by Zinc spray treatment by cold spray / flame gun process to give a long lasting anti rust corrosion paint finish.
  • PME has NABL accredited test facility for all routine & type tests & special tests. Impulse and short circuit tests are carried out at independent test houses.
